Yes, sweetie, I’m talking about vegetables. A hard row to hoe, when you come home from work tired & beat with a takeout container in one hand and your Netflix remote in the other.

How Do I Know?

Because I did it. My commitment to a plant-powered life started with desperation. In the early 2000s, my body started breaking down a few years after my mother died of breast cancer, and my father passed from Parkinson’s disease.

A high-stress life as a television reporter and my role as a caretaker, turned my body into a scrawny mess.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis and dropped to 90 – something pounds, my feet swelling, bones protruding and tummy unable to hold anything but broth. 

I realized this experience was The Universe’s way of transforming me into a brand new person, and vegetables were mother nature’s most powerful tools to get me there.

Once I got it in my head, there was no turning back, I  enrolled in culinary school and went to work at Whole Foods Market in Nashville, simply because I loved being around vegetables and wanted to cook plant-strong meals. 

Eventually, I regained my weight, my energy sky-rocketed, and I discovered this rock-solid calm and unwavering direction that I hadn’t known before.  I saw the future, and it was LIT!

That’s my story, but everyone has their own.
